Standard rivet nuts have two open ends and a head with a narrow flange. The open ends allow for the use of long screws and bolts, while the narrow flange prevents pull-through.
Aluminum has a high strength-to-weight ratio and is wear resistant, nonmagnetic and conductive. It is easier to form and machine than steel and is naturally noncorrosive.
Round head types have wide, rounded flanges. The flanges increase a rivet nut s strength and allow for installation in round and oversized holes.
